- BIGELOW, DAUGHERTY, KATHRON, TIMMONS posted by Marguerite Atteberry Emmons on Friday, July 24, 1998
- BIGELOW--interested in obtaining information about the family and descendants of Israel BIGELOW and Eunice KATHRON who settled in Madison Co in the early 1800's. Their daughter Mary Milvina BIGELOW married William D. DAUGHERTY (sometimes spelled Daughtery) in Madison Co on 11 Jun 1828. They had at least nine children, the four youngest dying as children and buried in Madison Co. Would like to know when and where? Of their five surviving children, most seem to have moved on to MO but would be interested in any additional information on them or on any of Israel's other children who remained in Madison Co. William DAUGHERTY's and Mary Milvina BIGELOW'S daughter Mary Dimmis Daugherty (spelled Darety on marriage license) married Thomas Foster TIMMONS ON 21 Sep 1858. I need to know who Thomas' parents were. He was born 1836 in Madison Co, but I cannot find him on the 1850 census. I find a Thomas son of Thomas who is 10 years old. Is this him? Is there an error? He was 22 on his marriage license in 1858. Can anyone help find his family. His children were born in the same house he was born in in the West Jefferson township of Madison Co where he seems to appear on the 1860 census. A Thomas age 70 is nearby. Any help with any of this is truly appreciated.
