James died 2 Apr 1876 in Paint Township and is buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery London. After his death, his widow moved to Springfield, OH. I am searching for parents or siblings of Nehemiah GATES (b.1770-80; d. before 1850) who married 16 Dec 1831 Madison co., Ohio to Susan ? Johnston (b.1790;d. after 1850). They were in Pike county, Illinois by 1840 census. Their son Aury B. Gates born circa 1837 in Ohio. Also interested in any information concerning Aury Brown who married a Gates in Madison county Ohio. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Andrew SIFRIT moved to Paint twp., Madison CO., married to #1 Susanna Shrock and #2 Hannah Morrils/Marrle. Andrew died in 1847. His daughter, Susannah married Matthew Earl in 1826, Madison Co. Need information on Andrew's parents and Hannah's parents.

Allen or Nathan Allen Painter was born 1839 in Madison Cty, OH. His family was to have moved from the county in 1849, perhaps to IL. 1840 census had information on 2 PAINTER families, John and William, but can't determine parentage or any other connections. Any help would be appreciated.

Samuel Dent Cheseldine married Kate Hubbard in London, OH 25 Jun 1874. Samuel was a merchant and joined his father, Posey, in many business adventures. I cannot find a trace of Kate, Jenny, Bessie, Donald or Sterling Cheseldine, wife and children of Samuel Dent. The only information is that Samuel Dent died in Ft. Worth, TX in 1902. Nothing more is known. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.

Am looking for Mitchell LANE, Madison Co., OH in 1862. He is listed as an heir in a probate in Madison County c 1832, we believe he is probably in Ohio then, but do know he was here in 1862. CLEMENS, William Samson b. 1820 to 1830, in VA or Madison Co., OH m. Ellen BETHARD in Madison Co. on 28 October 1846. William's father was John CLEMENS d. Madison Co. 1830, Veteran of War of 1812 and Anna BOYER Clemens was his mother. Their children were, Luke N., John F., Joseph E., Margaret, Rebecca, David, Ruth and William Samson. ARCHER, GEORGE J. born 6/13/1813 in Yorkshire England. Lived in Monroe County Ohio sometime between 1841 and 1856. First wife, Elizabeth Gardner died in Madison County OH in 1856. He married Elizabeth Haggaro in 1857 also in Madison County. He had 5 children with Gardner - Hester Ann, born 7/2/1843; Thomas Martin born 10/11/1844; Sarah Mason born 1/11/1847; William Henry born 12/4/1848; John James born 2/11/1851. Some may have died during childhood. He also had 5 children with Elizabeth Haggaro: Issac Leslie, 10/23/1858; Hannah Jane, 12/8/1859; Elizabeth, 4/22/1862; Isabelle, 2/21/1866; Alice Joanna, 5/28/1869. Some may have died in early childhood. Hester Ann married Hatfield Clark, who died during the Civil War and may have served in an Ohio regiment. She moved to Kansas and married a John Williams in Severance Kansas in 1865. Any information on the family greatly appreciated.

Searching for additional info and decendants of Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (WILSON) FUNDERBURG (B circa 1789 M 11-8-1810) said to have lived in Madison County. Son William is only son of four accounted for and little info known. FUNDERBURGS are related to families in Green, Clark and Miami Counties.
