Corporation Clerk John W. Byers is a native of Madison county. He has served the city since 1903, and is a careful, exact official.
For several years he has been local manager of the Central Union Telephone company, and as such is very popular with all who know him. Mr. Byers is prominent in the Masonic order and interested in politics.
