It is not given to every family to claim one of their children endowed with poetical abilities; rare indeed is the family where two is endowed with such, yet this is the honor for Mr. and Mrs. Henry O'Hara south of town.
Of their four children two — Mary Agnes and Helena Frances — are well known as contributors of verse to the readers of The Democrat, not only under their names but also as M.A. and Allie Hale.
In early school days their poetic tastes were soon noticeable and their first efforts were published in the young peoples' department in the Catholic Universe of Cleveland, ohio, and the Catholic Columbian, Columbus, Ohio, since then amny of their articles, both prose and verse, have appeared in various periodicals.
